Nipomo Incorporation Work Shop A Success
The Nipomo Incorporation Workshop held 1/20/07 at the NCSD building was an incredible success. It was one of the largest ever attended community meetings ever held in Nipomo. Nipomo Incorporation Workshop Scheduled 1/20/07
Hello everyone,
There will be a community Incorporation workshop as follows:
Date: Saturday, January 20, 2007
Time: 9:00 A.M. until 12:00
Place: NCSD Building, 148 S. Wilson, Nipomo
The theme of the workshop will be:
“Strategies for Achieving the Goal of Incorporation for Nipomo”.
The meeting will begin with,
a. History of Incorporation to date
b. Process of Incorporation through LAFCO
c. Costs to Incorporate
d. 2010 or 2012 as the goal for completion
We will then, dependant on the number of attendees, break into smaller groups to explorer,
a. How to involve, interest and educate the public?
b. Why should we Incorporate?
c. How to market the idea?
d. How to fund the idea?
e. Develop a timeline.
